In the latest of indie music news, Crafts for a cause is an auction set up by Bikini Shapiro of the band Little Joy to benefit the Haiti relief effort. Now currently open for bidding, music lovers will have a great chance to get some rare personalized shit from bands like The Strokes, Black Keys, Cat Power, Vampire Weekend, Feist, No Age, and a jillion others. From custom instruments to drawings done by some of the artists, the items are a great way to help rebuild the country after the devastation caused by the quake.
Bid on items such as Daft Punk figurines, a Vampire Weekend tote bag, a drawing done by Cat Power, Connor Oberst’s Fender Strat, an oil painting by Patrick Carney of the Black Keys, a shirt designed by Leslie Feist, and other completely awesome items by visiting the Crafts for a Cause site. Proceeds go to Artists for Peace and Justice.
